Once you've got the permission to board on your WebMIS account, and the training by one of our Live Support agent, you can start board yourself an account.
- What’s boarding?
Boarding is the process of registering a merchant account and terminals on our platform, all linked together so the merchant can process their transactions.
- Boarding a Terminal Group
Click board Terminal Groups then create, or click on New UK/USA/CAD Terminal Group if appropriate.
Complete fields as needed including the time-zone (this is important as it will affect the time the activity on the terminal is settled).
The transaction limits specified by the merchant:
minimum: can be anything except 0 (if less than 0.5 then worth checking with the merchant as transactions could end up costing money)
maximum: can be anything
Search for the correct client to link the group to – then click the green tick on the correct one.
Choose review/submit (depends on the boarder’s permissions) on the review tab.
-
Boarding a Terminal
Choose Board Terminals then Create or the appropriate shortcut button
Complete the fields based on the merchant's requirements
Search for the terminal group created earlier and click the green tick next to the correct one to create the link.
Click review/submit (depends on the boarder’s permissions) on the review tab to complete.
- Boarding a WebMIS User
Click Board Users then create or the appropriate shortcut
Enter the email address – it’s important that this is a valid email address and the user has access to it, as it can’t be changed by us later and the user will need access to emails to reset their password etc.
Choose the appropriate permission you wish to add from the drop down list and click on the button to add each one.
Click review/submit (depends on the boarder’s permissions) on the review tab.
From the Board User list, find the user you have just completed and then click on the Links Button.
Use the search to find the client, group or terminal that the user should have rights to see.
Click the green tick next to the appropriate client/group/terminal
- Boarding a Merchant Account
Choose Board Merchants then Create or the appropriate shortcut if preferred
Complete the name as specified (this is what will show on receipts with most products) Choose the Bank/acquirer/processor from the drop down.
Specify the Merchant Category Code.
Choose the correct Payment type from the drop down :
n.b. EMV Contactless / Magstripe Contactless means contactless ONLY – if there is a card reader/pin pad then choose the WITH contactless options.
The 3D Secure screen is only for an eCommerce merchant.
n.b. the MPI Password is generated when you tick the 3d Secure Scheme boxes and 3D secure is not available using any Card Schemes except Mastercard & Visa
You should fill in the Configuration/Currencies/Transaction types based on the customers supplied info – and trading in 1 currency.
Add all the CardSchemes the merchant need.
Select the appropriate currency.
The transaction types have to be selected with the customer’s needs.
The most common transaction types to add are:
Authorisation
Refund
Offline authorisation Standalone refund Pre-auth
Voice referral
Standalone refund needs to be added on the user as well if performed via WebMIS.
However, it’s very easy to add/change once the merchant is deployed (ask a member of the Live Support team).
The Bank Info screen will contain different questions depending on what you have chosen from the Acquiring bank drop down. You may also need additional info to complete this from the Merchant Tear Off sheet provided by the customer.
Once complete click review/submit (depends on the boarder’s permissions) on the review tab.
Next you need to link the merchant account to the group(s) so that the terminals can process transactions.
From the list of merchants waiting to deploy find the one you have just created and click on the links button.
Search for the appropriate group and click the green tick next to the correct one(s)
Once this done you need to wait for WebMIS to send you emails to confirm this has all been deployed and linked correctly. This can take up to 15 minutes or more.
