Terminal Capture

Terminal ID (NMI TID)
The Terminal ID is used to identify an individual terminal using our gateway. This applies to both physical payment device terminals as well as E-Commerce and CNP terminals. Required to connect to our platform.
A Bank TID acts as a line through which a connection can be made from the merchant account on the NMI platform to the acquiring bank in order to send transactions for authorisation and receive responses. Only one connection to the acquiring can be open at any one time via a single Bank TID, therefore merchant accounts which process a high volume of transactions typically require a larger number of Bank TIDs. Bank TID allocation is managed by NMI and the acquiring bank.
Terminal Management System (TMS)
Our Terminal Management System is how Creditcall is able to manage terminal configurations and properties such as contactless capability and gratuity support and for all our merchants' terminals using ChipDNA Mobile or Windows/Linux.
Transaction Key
The Transaction Key is used as an authentication credential for each Terminal ID. Required to connect to our platform.
Request Message (XML)
The Request XML message that is created by our SDK and sent to our platform.
Response Message (XML)
The Response XML message that is returned from our platform reporting the result of the relevant Request that was sent.
Voice Referral
Functionality in some cards that occurs when fraud is suspected. This requires the cardholder to call their bank to receive an Auth Code which must be input in order to proceed with the transaction. This functionality is normally disabled by default.
3-D Secure
3-D Secure is the secure protocol designed to ensure enhanced security and strong authentication to prevent fraud when using debit or credit cards for online purchases. Our Hosted Payment Page currently supports “Mastercard SecureCode” and “Verified by Visa.”
